how much did it cost?
You are absolutely right. A friend of mine just bought a high end LG brand LCD and he actually prefers mine over his for sound and features.
I just bought this tv 3 days ago, and have to say I’m very impressed with Insignia and the price of my 26 inch hdtv.
I went to best buy wanting to buy a sony bravia 26 inch. But I saw this tv, and was trying to compare the two. Graphics wise, I couldn’t tell the difference between the two. This tv works really well on my ps3 slim, and haven’t had a problem. The sound is amazing, and clear.
I think the reason why it is so cheap for what it is, is because it is not a name brand tv.
32″ for pc? thats suck!
If your system is 120 HZ and you have a HDMI cable, I’m not sure why there would be a delay. Maybe someone else may have an answer. I would have a look in some of the HD TV forums. It could be that you have a bad TV.
I have hdmi cable and it still has a delay i don’t know how much they were though it was a christmas present <=(
Excellent, good luck.
omg i cant wait to get one of theese for my room!!! im selling my drum set for this!
i just checked i have the 120HZ but i found out there is no response lag on the inputs on the left of the tv so everything works fine now
I think that the HDMI cables will make a difference. However this TV is only rated at 60 HZ which is fine for TV and blueray. I’m unsure if the lower frequency has an influence on gaming systems. I suspect that it does.
i got this exact one from bestbuy and the only issue im having is the response time with my xbox360 my ps3 works fine but the xbox360 is makin it hard to play first person shooters does anyone know a fix for this? i only have composite cables but my hdmi cables come in a week
its gonna be a nice pc monitor when i get mine
Thanks for the information. So far I’m happy with my TV, but I will keep all this in mind.
Lows
Black levels had a slight reddish tint. Our 480i SD video clip with motion detail (de-interlacing test) was flawed by clearly visible jaggies. Viewing angle was somewhat limited — the picture lost some color, contrast, or brightness as we moved off from dead center. Lacks USB port, separate RGB level adjustments, and multimedia slide-show.
Final grade: 69%
Personal tip: GET THE WARRANTY, no matter the brand! My Sony lcd only lasted 14 months. Now it’s gathering dust and useless!
(highs-cont.)
Very good film-mode operation (3:2 pulldown) effectively minimized jagged edges — “jaggies” — on our 1080i HD movie content; for 480i SD movie content, it was excellent. Our 1080i HD video clip with motion detail (de-interlacing test) looked very good with just a hint of visible jaggies. Sound was good, fine for typical TV programming. Remote has dedicated buttons for selecting each video source (Video1, Video2, etc.). Has in-home warranty service, unusual for models this size.
Highs
Excellent HD and standard-definition picture quality. It was very good at displaying fine details in top-quality HD content, just shy of the best sets. Color accuracy was excellent. Contrast was good, typical for most models we’ve tested. Brightness level was good, suitable for most rooms. Very good black levels — deep, just shy of the best sets. Excellent, smooth reproduction of scenes with subtly shaded light-to-dark areas, such as a sky during sunset.
Here’s what Consumer Reports said about it:
CR’s Take
This 32-inch 1080p LCD from Insignia, Best Buy’s house brand, offers excellent overall picture quality, and is very low priced, especially for a 1080p set. Its viewing angle, though, is narrower than most.
i want this for christmas and i found it on sale for $400 what a steal for a 1080p tv
Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it. As for your questions, yeah I’ve connected my gateway (see my Windows 7 vid) to it and it looked perfect. I really can’t say that there is anything that don’t like about the Insignia. Have a good one…
hey dude, 1st please allow me to congratulate you on a great video, damn, the mellow music almost made me cry, lol, anyways i’ve got an LG 47 in my living room, but i need a 32 for my computer desk, let me ask you, have you tried the pc input as yet?, i’m thinking of getting this very same insignia for xmas..holla.
I get this question a lot. Unfortunately I can’t say. I don’t have a gaming system on my TV.
it’s hard to find a 1080p under $500 and i was wondering if this unit is good for gaming?
TV GOOD
OK thanks and great video!
Unfortunately I don’t have a gaming system on my TV; just a video system, so I really can’t say. However, my digital cable and blueray looks perfect if that’s any help.
